~~~Vertigo 2.4 SPOILERS!!!~~~
What's up LOPland, Mikey Moose here as always with your weekly billing of Vertigo action and judging by both cards from Insanity and Pyromania, it looks like we are treated to a huge week of wrestling ahead of us. We kick things off with a match from Pyromania which promises to be an interesting affair between a former World Heavyweight Champion and two of Pyromania's finest.
Pyromania
Triple Threat Match
Sheepster vs. Cripsy vs Mooroopna Mayamaya
So Sheepster music hits and...he doesn't appear. Cue dramatic wrestling booing at it's finest. Cripsy music hits and the crowd perk up somewhat from Sheepster's no showing which seemed to be a good sign then Double M (Mooroopna Mayamaya in case you were living in a shell) music hits to a decent pop from the Rose Garden Arena in Portland, Oregon. Double M had an unlucky break last week losing to The Mighty Dyno Might for a shot at the LPW Pure Championship and he looks focused to win tonight.
So this match is now a one on one singles matchup which is lame because Sheepster didn't show up. The ref rings the bell and both men lock up in the middle of the ring, trying to get the first move in. Double M pushes Cripsy into the ropes and uses a scoop slam to ground Cripsy onto the matt. Double M makes the cover but Cripsy kicks out at two. At this point, I wasn't taking any notice to this match and was wondering what would have been if this match was a triple threat as previously advertised.
Back and forth action kept the match flowing perfectly which was one of my criticism directed at the last Vertigo taping. Double M used The Cobar to finish off Cripsy but suddenly Sheepster's music hits again to a huge ovation from the crowd. Finally, a triple threat worthy of watching until Sheepster runs into a standing Kergunyah which slowly finished off Sheepster and ultimately the match.
Double M (3.88 APS + 1.6 vote = 5.48 total)
Cripsy (3.5 APS + 1.0 vote = 4.5 total)
Sheepster (0 aps + 0.1 vote = 0.1 total)

Match Rating: ***
It was lucky to get three stars to be honest with you. Double M and Cripsy had a good match going until Sheepster interfered which sent the crowd into a huge ovation. Personally Double M should of pinned Cripsy but choking out Sheepster was the best finish that the creative team could offer to be perfectly honest with you.
Well that's that for the only Pyromania match on Vertigo as I can now plainly see that the crew members are getting themselves ready for the main Pyromania show.

Insanity
Singles Match
Anwyl vs. Andrew Gregory Leonidas
After making their less than impressive debut, Anwyl goes one on one with his former tag team partner (I say that term loosely as they really weren't a good tag team compared to the team of Captain Crooked and Ozzy Crerar...yes I am a huge mark over that team) Andrew Gregory Leonidas. First off, Andrew Gregory Leonidas music hits first to a mixed reaction from the crowd and I just cannot help myself but wonder what on earth he has been doing to his body. No wonder the chicks around me are going nuts over him. Apparently he's six foot eight and weighs in at two and sixty five pounds...that's just huge.
So after AGL enters the ring, his music gets cut off quite dramatically may I add to Anwyl's entrance music (which is awesome by the way) to a bit of heel heat from this sold out crowd inside the Roger Centre. We focus our attention towards the entrance ramp where...Anwyl doesn't up. At this point the crowd are confused but as I turn around to look at the announcing booth, Anwyl does a sneak attack on Andrew Leonidas by pushing him in the back much to the delight of the crowd who boo Anwyl heavily.
So after the ref decides to rings the bell, we get underway with a running clothesline from Anwyl on Leonidas. Quick cover on Leonidas from Anwyl but the hectic prophet kicks out at two. Anwyl threw a wobbly towards the ref because he was convinced that it was a three count, Andrew Leonidas gets up slowly, trying to regain his composure but gets stopped dead in the tracks by Anwyl who sets up his Third Degree finisher but Leonidas gets out of it and sets himself up for the Out of Body Experience. Once Leonidas stops showboating towards the crowd, the delayed chokeslam connects and Leonidas pins Anwyl in which he kicks out but only just on the three count.
So far, this match is pretty good but the ending was a joy to behold as Anwyl finishes off AGL in some style by using the Ice Break move which was a DDT followed by a submission in which Andrew Gregory Leonidas tapped out. AGL tried to break up the hold but everytime he got near the ropes, Anwyl pulled him back to the centre of the ring which resulted into the tapout. After the match, Anwyl left the ring leaving Andrew Gregory Leonidas rolling on the matt holding his feet in pain.
Anwyl 3.54 APS + 2.00 AVS = 5.54
Andrew Gregory Leonidas 3.48 APS + 0.40 = 3.88

Match Rating: ***
A three star match but it could have been more. Anwyl simply continues to show us why he's ready for the main roster and why I feel he deserves a title shot as soon as humanly possible. Saying that, Andrew Gregory Leonidas had a good showing but his lack of finishing a basic wrestling match cost him dearly.
MAIN EVENT
LPW Television Championship
Ozzy Crerar vs. Captain Crooked vs. Azreal©
So this next match is the main event and everyone is getting extremely excited considering it's the first ever title matchup being contested on Vertigo since it began way back in 2006. With that in mind, we are hopefully going to be treated to a decent Triple Threat match for the LPW Television Championship.
Up first, we get the LPW Television Champion himself Azreal to a huge ovation from the crowd. To get to where he is now, Azreal fought The Icon Nigel Vanderbilt at last week's Insanity taping in an epic affair where Azreal pinned The icon after kicking him in the stomach then applying the Crucifix Bomb. What a legend. Next up is both Ozzy Crerar and Captain Crooked, again another huge ovation from the crowd as both men make their way towards the ring. I'm surprised that they didn't both come out separately to their own theme songs. Ah well, haters gotta hate.
So we get this matchup underway and all of the sudden, Steve Storme music hits and he appears with a taco cart...are you serious? At this point there were confused faces everywhere even in the stand where I was sitting ringside. Meanwhile, from out of nowhere Captain Crooked had a huge spaz attack and went straight for the tacos which ruled him out of taking away the title with him. Shame really, that would have been a huge mark out moment.
Ozzy tried to stop Crooked but was halted by Azreal who gave him a chokeslam to properly start this match up. After a quick cover, Ozzy kicks out and tries to roll out of the ring hoping to get Captain Crook back into the match but he is too focused on eating those tacos. With Steve Storme pacing up and down the ring, Azreal gets a bit irate over him and shouts a few verbal insults towards Storme who at this point doesn't seem to be fazed.
Azreal's distraction gets the better of him as Ozzy Crerar re-enters the ring and sets up the I Crush-a You Face which looked brutal I must say. After kicking out barely, Azreal slowly raises to his feet while Crerar looks to go with a Fireman Suplex. As Crerar throws Azreal off his shoulders, Azreal counters his move with a sick Jumping Cutter in midair which sent the crowd into a huge frenzy much to the delight of Steve Storme who shook his head in disbelief. Azreal barely kicks out again at two and both him and Crerar look hurt after that sick Jumping Cutter counter made by Azreal.
Azreal breaks the ten count by setting himself up for the Force Of Will and waits for Crerar to get back up on his feet. As Crerar gets back up, Azreal finishes things off with the Force Of Will and the ref counts three and that's that. After the match, Azreal and Steve Storme have a staring contest which whips the crowd into a frenzy.
Azreal 4.08 APS + 1.90 AVS = 5.98
Ozzy Crerar 3.42 APS + 0.40 AVS = 3.82
Captain Crooked 0.00 APS + 0.10 AVS = 0.10

Well that was...interesting to say the least. Yes Azreal retained, I'm glad about that...no seriously it makes sense. Steve Storme needs to face him at The Madness for Azreal's Television Championship belt to continue with their feud. Captain Crooked was only interested in the tacos while Ozzy Crerar had a strong showing but was outclassed by the sheer determination of Azreal. The Madness is going to be pretty mad indeed.

That's that for the Insanity matches as the crew guys are preparing themselves for the main program so enjoy.

As you saw clearly, I added the match rating system to my thoughts where I rated a match between 1 and 5 stars with 1 being a squash match and 5 being a match to remember so I hope you guys at home reading this online liked seeing how I rated this match along with my thoughts.
