There is a hope of not only optimism, but of regret over some actions that have taken place in Berlin. Somehow Jeff has to move on from these as we open the scene on a warm and comfortable morning back in Miami. The weather is at the usual temps for this time of year and it doesn’t take too long for the beaches to start filling up with a mix of people. While the rest of the city is busy leading their own lives we find Jeff at a local beachside café and Jeff is looking over some details of the case that might of slipped by.

Waitress: Is there anything I can get you sweetheart?

Jeff: I’ll have some sausage along with some hash browns and a couple pieces of toast.

Waitress: And what will you have to drink with that?

Jeff: How about a glass of orange juice.

Once the waitress finishes writing the order down she heads to the kitchen and leaves Jeff alone for a moment. While the breakfast is being prepared a thought is running through Jeff’s head, but is quickly dashed when there could be no way that this guy could be the kidnapper. Before Jeff can look at the security footage a black Lincoln town car pulls into the parking lot and out steps Madison along with their boss Agent Philip Stevens.

Philip: How’s the investigation going in regards to the kidnapping?

Jeff: I thought that I might have had a major breakthrough, but the guy who I had detained in Berlin complained that I broke some protocols.

Philip: That shouldn’t have happened at all because the German authorities gave you permission to do your job.

Jeff: I don’t worry about it anymore sir because life is too short to worry about things like that.

The conversation is temporarily halted when the waitress approaches the table and places Jeff’s breakfast on the table before attending to other customers. While Jeff is trying to enjoy a moment to himself a cell starts going off and Madison notices that It’s coming from Jeff’s iPhone. Madison picks it up and tries to find out who could be possibly calling Jeff right now.

Philip: The reason why I came out here is that I’m concerned for you and wanted to see if you’ve got everything under control.

Jeff: I do have everything under control sir and I’m real close to solving this whole investigation.

Madison: I really hate to have to do this, but Jeff we’ve got to get out of here right now.

Jeff: What happened?

Madison: I’ll tell you on the way, but we’ve got to leave right now.

Jeff finishes eating and walks over to the counter to pay the check on the breakfast. Once all of that business is taken care of Jeff and Madison dash to the parking lot where she is already in the passenger seat. Before they leave the parking lot Philip catches up with them and asks Jeff if there is anything that can be done at the office.

Jeff: Can you have someone contact the L.A. field office, because the guy who I think is behind this lives in Hollywood. The only other name that I can think of right now is Solomon Idol and I want to place him as a person of interest.

Philip: Do you want a surveillance net around the L.A. area? The way that works is if Solomon commits any type of crime we’ll know about it and then we can question him about the kidnapping.

Jeff pulls out of the parking lot and starts to maneuver around the morning traffic that occurs on a weekday in South Beach. Thoughts about the case ending soon and the reunion with Ashley is what’s keeping Jeff occupied at the moment. Madison is glancing over the details of another case file that was given to her, but then speaks up about the phone call from earlier.

Madison: The person that called you was from the Miami-Dade P.D. and there is something that you need to take care of right now.

Jeff: Did they say what it was about?

Madison: All they said was that you would know about it once you got to the station.

A range of thoughts from a case gone wrong to something else entirely are rushing though Jeff’s head as they get closer to the main precinct building of the Miami-Dade Police Department. They manage to find an open parking spot and file quickly into the building where Jessica approaches the two federal agents on sight. Before Jeff can get something out Jessica leads the way towards the evidence room and it appears that the fears about a case gone wrong have gone true.

Jeff: Does anybody know what happened?

Jessica: We’re to believe that between four and six people broke into here around 2:30 am and managed to steal every single bit of cocaine that you got in the bust.

Jeff: Are you saying that in the span of a few hours someone managed to steal 250 kilos of cocaine? There goes five million dollars down the drain and from the look of things this has to be a professional job.

Madison: So why do you guys need my partner for this job, because I’m sure that you guys can handle this.

Investigators are coming in and out of the room to carefully examine the crime scene to find any missing details. While the evidence room is getting crowded the law enforcement officers file into the office and discuss the case amongst themselves for a few minutes. The conversation ends when Capt. Diaz strolls out of his office and grabs the attention of everyone in the room.

Capt. Diaz: As everyone knows we’re in a tough spot and there happens to be a deadline of 72 hours to find out who stole the cocaine.

Jeff: I would love to help you, but I would need permission from my bosses at the FBI to officially be part of the investigation.

Capt. Diaz: I’ve taken care of all the details because I just got off the phone with an Agent Stevens. He is allowing you and Madison to join us on this investigation.

Madison: Is there an security tape of the evidence room, because it might give us a clue to how many people we’re dealing with.

Larry and Scott run off to get the security tape while the rest of the group files into the conference room. Jeff is thinking of all the possibilities that are involved with this case, but the focus is disturbed when the two Vice detectives stride back into the conference room. The tape starts to play and everything seems to be business as usual. When it gets to the 2:30 a.m. mark on the tape the air vents are blown out and four suspects climb into the room to start removing the cocaine. Three of the guys have their back turned to the camera, but one man turns around to face the camera. The image of the guy sends a shock down Jeff’s spine and Jeff demands to stop the tape.

Jeff: I know who the guy that is behind this, because he happens to be the same guy who taught me everything I know about law enforcement.

Capt. Diaz: Are you talking about Jack Malone?

Madison: Can someone explain to me who is Jack Malone?

Capt. Diaz: Jack Malone was one of the finest officers that the Miami-Dade P.D. has ever seen and was on the fast track to becoming the next chief. A couple of years ago something happened which caused Jack to leave town.

The meeting is interrupted when the conference room phone starts ringing and Madison reaches over to pick it up. A look of confusion comes across her face as she tries to find out who is on the other line and immediately hands the phone over to Jeff.

Jeff: Who is this?

Man: I can’t believe that after all of these years that you’ve forgotten who I am. You don’t remember Jack Malone, the man who took the time to teach you everything about law enforcement and when it was ok to bend the rules.

Jeff: I don’t have time for these games Jack because we’re in the middle of a very important investigation.

Jack: I’m guessing by now that you’ve figured out that it was me who stole the coke from the evidence room and I’ll be happy to discuss all of this with you. All you’ve got to do is come to my house in Dallas and we can settle both of these issues.

Jeff writes down the address and strides out of the conference room in a hurry. Before Jeff can leave the office, Madison catches up to Jeff and tries to ask what the whole conversation was all about. The rest of the vice department is standing behind Madison and they’re also wanting to know what the conversation is about.

Jeff: The cocaine is stashed in a abandoned warehouse in Little Havana and if you get there right now, you might stand a chance on getting it without a confrontation.

Capt. Diaz: What else did Jack tell you?

Jeff: He wants me to meet him at his house in Dallas and I’m hoping that he might have some information on another case that I’m working on.

Madison: The FBI will take over from here, but we thank you for allowing us to be a part of this investigation.

Madison leads the way for her partner out of the office and climbs into the passenger seat of the Ferrari that Jeff normally drives. Once Jeff has climbed into the car Madison tries to find out about the past relationship between the two officer, but Jeff blows her off in order to concentrate on the road. While the Ferrari maneuvers through the midday traffic with precise ease, Jeff is thinking about how could a family friend be responsible for all of this.

Jeff: Hey Madison I want to get this off my chest, because it has been bothering me ever since I left Berlin.

Madison: What is it?

Jeff: I’ve been thinking it over and it was a mistake for us to sleep together. It was a moment of weakness over the kidnapping of my wife and I hope you didn’t think there was more between us.

Madison: I understand that you felt weak, because everyone has those moments in their lives. Why don’t we go back to having a great professional relationship?

It doesn’t take much for Jeff to agree with that and the two special agents plan out their strategy for when they get to Dallas. Everything can go wrong when the suspect is a former law enforcement officer and that’s why they’re being careful. The scene starts to fade out with Jeff pulling into the parking lot of a condo building and dropping Madison off near the front door. We fade to black with Jeff making the journey back home to prepare for the trip to Dallas. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A couple of days have passed since the revelation and we open the scene in Dallas, Texas. It is here that the final PPV before Altered Reality 6 will take place, but right now the focus is on the meeting with Jack Malone. Jeff doesn’t know if this will be a peaceful meeting or will Jeff have to fight his way out of there. The weather in Dallas is warm yet comfortable for a night like this and we focus in on a luxury car that is maneuvering through the Dallas traffic. Inside the car the two agents are trying to figure out how they’re going to approach this meeting, but Madison notices that something is bothering Jeff.

Madison: What’s wrong Jeff?

Jeff: I’m just thinking about my upcoming match with Azreal at the Blistering Inferno PPV and I’m worried about what this guy is going to do to me.

Madison: Do you really think that this guy will hurt you?

Jeff: Azreal has always had a personal grudge against me and since the match is No Holds Barred it’ll give him the legal right to do whatever he wants. I’m just sick of this guy who has his own criminal past saying that I break protocols and that I should lose my ability to enforce the law.

Madison: He’s just trying to piss you off enough that you’ll make a mistake during the match. You’re way too close to finding out who’s been kidnapping Ashley and you can’t let this guy take you off the game.

The conversation is interrupted when the car approaches the front of the house and Jeff is focused on this meeting with his mentor. A couple of body guards approach the special agents and frisk them for any noticeable weapons before allowing them to proceed into the house. Madison is taking a brief glance around the house and is wondering how an ex-cop can afford a place like this. Madison’s concentration is broken when in strolls Jack Malone who checks Madison out before speaking to Jeff.

Jack: I’m glad that you we’re able to make it out here because it’s been a long time Jeff.

Jeff: I wish that I could say the same, but then we’d both know that I’d be lying. So why did you steal the cocaine from the evidence room?

Jack: I did it to prove a point and that is the department made a mistake when they chose someone else to be chief. And I was tired of seeing the bad guys getting off on a technicality while good cops like myself we’re getting charged with bogus crimes.

Madison: I understand that you have a grudge, but what does this have to do with my partner?

Jack: I was getting to that because when it came time to field support in the chief of police position it was your partner who turned his back on me. So I found about the case that Jeff was working on and began working on a plan to discredit him.

Jeff is shocked that the man who taught him everything about law enforcement is the same guy who is trying to ruin him. The anger is building up inside and all of this is bringing up memories of what Azreal has said. Finally Jeff brings up the real reason why he was asked to come out here to Dallas.

Jeff: You told me Jack that you had some information about this case that I’m working on and can you please tell me what it is?

Jack: The guy who currently has your wife will be at your upcoming PPV and somehow you’ll know where Ashley is.

Jeff: How do you know this?

Kidnapper: Because who do you think that Jack is working for and who do you think gave me the information on where you live?

Madison is trying to keep Jeff under control but is distracted when the room starts to fill up with heavily armed guards. Both Jeff and Madison keep shifting their focus around the room so that nobody takes advantage of them. Finally Jeff asks the question that has been on everyone’s mind for a long time.

Jeff: Why did you do this Jack?

Jack: I did it for the money because the guy was willing to spend a lot to make your life a living hell. You betrayed me Jeff and I felt like this was the perfect way to get my revenge against you.

Out in the distance are the sounds of police sirens and they’re getting closer to the house. Hearing the sirens has caused the guards to pull their weapons out and point them at the federal agents. Before the situation starts to get deadly Jeff delivers a swift kick to Jack’s ribs and grabs Madison’s hand to find some cover. The guards start to open fire and Jeff is looking for the first opportunity to fire a shot while Madison is busy on the phone with the Dallas police.

Jeff: Can you please help me out with this?

Madison: I’m giving them our position and informing them of what is going on right now.

Jeff: Can’t you do that and help me out with these guards? (Jeff fires a few shots and is able to hit three of the guards.) I don’t mean to yell at you right now, but I don’t want to go into this fight with gunshot wounds.

Madison returns fire and is able to have better luck with taking out a few more guards. The front doors are kicked down and the Dallas police are drawing the firepower of the guards. An opportunity has come for the two agents to escape and they take it when Jeff notices an entrance to a back hallway. Jeff grabs Madison and leads her down the hall looking for Jack.

Madison: Are you sure that Jack is around here somewhere?

Jeff: He has to be and I’m not leaving Dallas without getting what I want from him.

Madison: Just make sure that you save that anger for your fight against Azreal because that motherfucker deserves the beating of a lifetime.

The two agents search every available room but they don’t run into Jack anywhere. Just before they reach the garage Jeff hears the roar of an engine and dashes into the garage to see Jack pulling out into a hurry. Jeff climbs into the next available car and hotwires it to get the car started. Madison climbs into the passenger seat and Jeff floors it down the driveway in hot pursuit.

Madison: What do you want me to do Jeff?

Jeff: I’m going to attempt to get them onto the highway and if I can do that, then I want you to shoot out the tires.

Madison: What if you can’t get them on the highway?

Jeff: Then I want you to shoot out the tires, but your going to have to avoid hitting innocent people.

All Jeff is thinking about is concentrating on the plan and maneuvering through the Dallas evening traffic. It doesn’t take too long before Jeff notices the car that is driven by Jack Malone and Jeff quickly catches up to it. Madison is looking for a good shot to take while Jeff is trying to match speed along with getting them on the highway. Jack is making sure to keep this on the city streets which is frustrating Jeff causing the special agents to go to plan B.

Jeff: I’m not going to be able to hold this for much longer because I forgot how good of a driver Jack Malone really is.

Madison: Just keep up with him for a few more seconds because I’m steadying my shot.

Once Madison has the shot steady, she fires three or four shots at both of the back tires and the car spins out of control near a local nightclub. As soon as the first car comes to a stop Jeff parks right next to it and waits for Jack to climb out. The door to the wrecked car opens and Jeff isn’t waiting for Jack to escape the wreckage.

Jeff: You might as well give up right now because there’s no where to run Jack.

Jack: Go fuck yourself Jeff and I hope your wife dies a horrible death.

Hearing that last insult is sending Jeff into a furious bit of rage and Jeff lands a hard right hand across the jaw. The impact of that punch knocks Jack into a nearby fence and open for more punishment in which Jeff is ready to deliver. Jeff is picturing that his mentor is actually Azreal and uses the anger to throw hard, stiff shots to the ribs. It doesn’t take long before Jack is spitting up blood and Jeff finishes him off with a hard Muay-Thai kick that crumples his mentor.

Jeff: I told you not to mess with me, but you chose not to listen. Now you can enjoy the rest of your life in prison.

We slowly fade out with the Dallas police arriving to arrest Jack Malone and Madison rushes over to see if Jeff's OK. Jeff tells Madison that he's fine and the two agents stroll down the street towards their hotel. Now that the personal stuff has been taken care of Jeff can focus on the fight with Azreal and is willing to do anything it takes to win. The scene fades to black with the two agents reaching the hotel and strolling inside to get a good nights sleep.
